Sunlit Verify support
Sunlit Verify checks the chip, QR mark, serial, or certificate attached to a Sunlit work. If a check does not look right, we will help you understand the result and inspect the workshop record behind it.
Include this when you write
- The serial printed on the work, QR mark, or certificate.
- The support reference shown by the app, if there is one.
- Your phone model, operating-system version, and what you tapped or scanned.
- A screenshot of the result. Do not send passwords or sign-in links.
Chip tap does not start
- Remove thick or metal phone cases and hold the top of the phone against the chip.
- Keep the phone still for a few seconds after the scan sheet appears.
- On iPhone, make sure you are using the full Sunlit Verify app rather than a web browser.
- If the chip still does not respond, use the printed QR mark or serial lookup and contact us.
QR or serial is not recognized
Check that the full serial is entered exactly as printed, including every letter, number, and hyphen. Give the app camera access before scanning a QR mark. A printed QR or serial confirms that a reference matches our records; only a live cryptographic chip tap proves the tag is physically present.
A verification did not pass
Do not remove, replace, or discard the mark. Take a screenshot of the result and send us the support reference displayed by the app. We can inspect the event without needing your password, sign-in link, or other account credentials.
Collector sign-in or certificate help
Collector access works only for an email address already attached to a registered Sunlit work. If the sign-in email does not arrive, check spam and confirm that you entered the same address used for the workshop record. Contact us to correct an address or request a replacement authenticity letter.
To check a downloaded certificate PDF, use the signature check. That confirms the file still carries an intact Sunlit signature. It does not replace a live chip tap.
The paper slip titled Receipt of Provenance is not the signed certificate. It names the work and serial so you can open the public register; live-proof still requires a chip tap in the companion app.
Privacy and account deletion
Read the privacy policy for the data Sunlit Verify uses and how to request deletion. You can also delete collector access from the Account screen in the app or on the web.
